Zero energy building
Resource Efficiency and Climate Change, Material Efficiency Strategies for a Low-Carbon Future, published by the UN Environment Programme in 2020, defines a Zero Energy Building (ZEB) as: ‘A building with a very low energy demand. When equipped with photovoltaics, such buildings produce as much energy as they consume throughout the year.’
